1963 Pioneer in wastewater treatment
Since the beginning, Engelburg has been committed to a sustainable approach to its environment. Stadler AG is one of the pioneers when it comes to environmental protection in the metal finishing industry. As early as 1963, Stalder AG was the first industrial company in the canton of St.Gallen to install a waste water treatment plant. Since then, all used water has been returned cleanly to nature.
ISO 14001:2015
All wastewater is treated in our own treatment plants and continuously tested. Thanks to know-how and state-of-the-art technology, prevention and the handling of our resources are constantly being improved. Stalder achieves sustainable production by means of high-tech and environmentally friendly bath components. Environmental protection in combination with our own facilities for recycling and recovery include considerations of the life cycle. Only with the daily conscientious finishing of metals, certified according to ISO 14'000:2015, can valuable resources be conserved. Stalderfinish stands up for this with its name.
CO2-neutral heating
Furthermore, all buildings are heated CO2-neutrally with wood.
Solar energy via photovoltaics
Since March 2018, the company has been operating its own photovoltaic system on the roofs of Plant 3 and Plant 4. The flat roofs are completely covered with 268 modern solar modules. The system generates approximately 66,000 kWh of electricity per year. Stalder AG relies on sustainable energy solutions, such as here, where the entire photovoltaic system with 72 kWp output is used for self-consumption.
Charter for environmentally conscious waste disposal companies
For 20 years, Stalder AG has been a member of the “Charter of Environmentally Conscious Disposers of Surface Coatings” of the Swiss Foundation for Surface Technology SSO.
Target agreement on climate protection
Stalder AG is committed to sustainable climate protection out of conviction. By voluntarily participating in the programme of the Energy Agency for Industry EnAW, Stalder AG is committed to actively reducing CO2 emissions and optimising energy efficiency. This target agreement is recognised by the federal government, the cantons and all partners in the economy.
